Obituary of William E. Morey, Sr. (ALBION)
William E. Morey, Sr. age 69, died 5/29/2017 in his home following a lengthy illness. Bill was born 3/2/1948 in Lyons, NY to Adelbert and Lillian (Worley) Morey and had lived in this area most of his life. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and worked as a Mechanic and Driver for the Albion Central School System. Bill was a member of the AARP, enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting coins and watching TV…especially professional wrestling, western movies, Dr. Pol-Veterinarian and M.A.S.H. re-runs. He was stubborn and opinionated, a ‘Jack-of-all-trades’ but will be remembered for always taking good care of his children. Mr. Morey was predeceased by his brothers: Adelbert Sr., and Robert Morey, and his grand daughter: Courtnie Nashburn-Morey. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Sandy, his children: Michael (Guyla) Morey of Hamlin, Susan (David) Nashburn of Albion, Bill (Jill) Morey Jr. of Albion, sisters: Caroline and Shirley, 11 grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and his beloved dog: “Hazel”. There will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service for Bill with Military Honors, TUESDAY JUNE 6th at 11 a.m. in Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, P.O. Box 489, Albion, NY, 14411.
