Obituary of William Bill Reid (ALBION)
William "Bill" Reid, age 65 of Ridge Road, died Tuesday July 15, 2008 at Strong Memorial Hospital following a long illness of kidney failure in the presence of his companion and best friends. He was born in Albion on September 24, 1942 to William and Agnes Reid. Bill was a railroad man most of his life having retired from GVT Railroad. He volunteered at the Rochester Genesee Valley Railroad Museum in Rush, NY for many years prior to his retirement. It was said that Mr. Reid, "?would eat, sleep, and dream trains." Many times he was seen rushing to the railroad tracks to see a train go by. Bill was also a retiree of the New York State Dept. of Transportation Highway Department.
