Obituary of William E. Rucker Barker: William “Bill” Rucker, 76, passed away suddenly December 11, 2020. He was born December 2, 1944 in Buffalo, the son of the late William and Virginia (Eschborn) Rucker. Bill was a graduate of Barker High School and a 41-year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 17. He was a member of the Somerset Conservation Club, where he was known for his trap shooting skill. Bill was a kind, generous and outgoing man and would always help anyone in need. He was always busy working with his hands, creating all kinds of furniture with his wood working skills, building his 1948 Ford pickup truck, attending car shows, hunting and fishing. He loved spending time outside gardening and giving his produce away for others to enjoy. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Susan (Buncy); grandson, Curtis (Kristen)Rucker; three great-grandchildren, Peyton, Andrew Michael and Emily Ann; sisters, Ellen “Cork” Earp and Sandra Jane Leonardis; brother-in-law, William (Kathy) Buncy; several nieces, nephews, special friends and wonderful neighbors. Bill was predeceased by 2 sons, William R. Rucker and Michael J. Rucker; sister-in-law, Bonnie Brigham; father-in-law James Eugene Buncy and mother-in-law Elizabeth J. Rojas; brothers-in-law, Leland Earp and Eugene Leonardis. The family will receive friends at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St. Gasport, NY on Thursday December 17, from 4:00-8:00.
