William F. Stevenson

Obituary of William F. Stevenson William “Fred” Stevenson, age 79, of Gasport, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born February 28, 1932 in Harrisburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Walter and Alberta (Ross) Stevenson. William married Patricia Stover January 23, 1965 in Hartland by the Justice of the Peace. They had been married for 47 years. Mr. Stevenson had worked at Lockport Felt Mill in Newfane for many years. He enjoyed farming, gardening and working on older cars. He also enjoyed being with his family. Beside his wife, Patricia, William is survived by his children Timothy J. Carney of Wrights Corners, Daniel E. Stevenson of Jeddo, Susan Carney (Carl) of Florida, Patricia (Ken) Lipiec of Barker and Tamara Lee Stevenson (Wally) of Burt. Grandfather of Elizabeth Lipiec. Brother of: Louise Vergeth of Pennsylvania, Betty Admire of Colorado and the late Elmer Stevenson and Gladys Norris. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home 6139 East Avenue, Newfane on Monday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 1:00 pm from the funeral home with the Reverend Joe Payne officiating. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
