Obituary of Willie J Long Reverend Willie J. Long, 72, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Lakeside Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Sylvester, Georgia the son of the late Sarah and Calvin Long Sr., and has lived in this area most of his life. He retired from the Us Army after achieving rank as and E8, Master Sergeant, worked with the Iroquois Job Corp, and was Former Pastor Bethel Baptist Church in Medina. He was also a former Monroe County Veterans Counselor, the Lions Club. He is survived by his wife Latonya (McNeil), 4 daughters, Deborah Long of Indiana, Sheryl & Teresa Long of Rochester, Jada Long of Albion; 5 Grandchildren; Siblings, Mae Francis (Alonzo) Cooper of Virginia, Bertha (Horace) Wilson of Waterport, NY, Rev. Ezekiel (Latricia) long of Michigan, Rev. Robert Long of Webster, Johnnie Long of Texas; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a brother Calvin Long Jr. Family and friends may call on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 10-11am at Glad Tidings Baptist Church, 404 W. Oak Orchard St., Medina, NY where services will immediately follow. Burial will be in Lynhaven Cemetery with military honors.
