Obituary of Wilma P. Taylor Albion: Wilma P. Taylor, age 95, passed away at The Villages of Orleans on February 14, 2015. She was born November 27, 1919 in Gaines to the late Henry and Gertrude (Foley) Palmer. Wilma was a graduate of Albion High School in 1936, S.U.N.Y. Fredonia in 1940 with a degree in music, and attended Eastman School of Music where she received her Master's Degree in music. Wilma Married Charles Taylor of Lockport in 1945. She taught music for several country schools before taking positions in both Lockport and Royalton-Hartland school districts until 1975. After retirement, she was a resident in Florida from 1976 to 2002 where she was an avid golfer, active in many musical productions and played in an orchestra. In addition to her parents, Wilma was predeceased by her husband Charles in 2006 and brother; John Palmer. She is survived by her sister; Geraldine (Ted) Swiercznski of Albion, and 5 nieces, 2 nephews, 5 great nieces, and 4 great nephews. Wilma's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish/St. Joseph's Church April 25th at 11:00AM with interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Wilma's name may be made to Holy Family Parish. Wilma's family is in the care of Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. of Albion.
