Winton P. Hatch

Obituary of Winton P. Hatch He was a member of the Gaines Congregational Church where he served as both Deacon and Moderator and as a long-time member of the church choir. Mr. Hatch was employed for over 37 years as manager of the local offices of the N.Y.S. Dept. of Labor; he was a member and past president of the Albion Rotary Club and a recipient of that organizations Paul Harris Fellowhship . Also, he was a member of the Albion Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Eastern Orleans County. Mr. Hatch served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the China-Burma-India Theatre and was a member of Sheret Post #35 of the American Legion in Albion. He had been an active barbershop singer for many years and was a member of SPEBSQSA. He was instrumental in the formation of Orleans Community Action and was one of four original signers of the article which brought that organization into being.
