May was a real “mother of the 1950/60’”, serving in many activities: including Cub Scout Leader, Hartland UMC programs, was an active bridge player and loved her monthly “girls” outings with her Gasport girlfriends.   She first started working with Friends Manufacturing in Gasport, also employed with Smith Roses in the business office and as business manager for her husband’s company RWB Plastering/Drywall.

May and Bob loved traveling the world, visiting; Mexico, Bolivia, Machu Picchu - Peru, Europe, Africa and Alaska.  They met many new friends during the travels remaining friends for decades.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Brown, brother Albert and wife Katie Schroeder, sister Mary and husband Gene Nash, infant brother George and grandson Adam Gardner.

Family is grateful to the community who contributed to her quality of life in her senior years including special friend Richard (Dick) Randolph. Heartfelt thanks go to her loving caregivers who made it possible to remain in her home – Diane & Gary Urtel, Joy Tocha, Calli Gardner and dear niece Gwen Hunt and the entire SunRise Café staff, where she ate lunch every day.
