Grandpa was the best. He was always fun to be with. I use to love it as a kid he would take me for rides in his z-28 I loved that car. I had such a good time with him and grandma when I went to Florida for two weeks on my 18th birthday. and he took us out on his boat. and then when they movied up to new york and I got to see them all the time. He was so funny with my little girls takeing them for rides on the wheelchair and getting cout feeding them when he knew he shouldnt. I will always remember him and his great personality. he was always cheerful and fun to be with. I am just sorry I cant be there for the service. I love you grandpa. and always will. give Heather a kiss for me. love always and forever. Kelly
This sentiment comes from his sister Shirley who was better know to Bill as 'Runt'. He taught me my love for animals, especially horses, where we worked in the stables every chance possible. His patience taught me my love for people because I tried to follow Willie when ever possible. He will be in my heart always. My condolences to the family.I thank them for being so kind to me during Willie's sickness, Carol you always took time for me,thank you for your patience. Ann I will always cherish the time the three of us spent together. Love, Shirl
My dad was one of a kind. Everyone should've had a father like I did. He was always there for us, no matter what stupid things we did. His hard work provided us with a wonderful life. He always had a smile and never a bad thing to say about anyone. When I was small he took me everywhere with him. Poor man couldn't even get a hair cut without me tagging along. I'm so glad that the last two and a half years of his life was spent with me and Tim. He loved to swim in our pool and ride in Tim's sporty car. He adored our dog, Buddy and was always sneaking him morsels of food. I'll miss watching take rides down our road and taking time to stop and talk with the little boys next door. He was my insperation when it came to courage. With all his physical difficulties, he never gave up. I figured if Dad could do it so could I. I love you POPS and always will. I know you're with our Heather and she's showing you all the ropes. I miss you. Love Carol
To me he will always be Uncle Bill. Uncle Bill was the warmest most plesant man I have ever met. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word. When he would see me he would always pat my cheek and call me sweetie, and look at me with the most loving eyes. When I was young my cousin and I exchanged letters about once a month way before e-mails. I would also write Uncle Bill every couple of months ,I was just a young person that did'nt have anything importany to say, but he still took time to write back. He was the master of communication in our family, letters, cards you name it. One year he and my Aunt Ann sent us a hugh box of apples at Christmas, they were the best apples I have ever tasted. It's funny when you become an adult the things you remember. I will also remember him for his beautiful roses, his love of horses; he always spoke of his horse Sugar, but he also loved to swim better than any one I knew. Uncle Bill was at home in the water. To my wonderful Aunt Ann and Laurie, I am so sorry for the years and miles put between us. I will always cherish your annual Easter vist. I miss my cousin. Carol, Wayne & Brian I regret that we were not able to spend time together as a family. Aunt Ann I love you, your the best. Never loose our wonderful memories. I am very proud to say that William Crandall was my uncle. I know exactly where he is, in heaven with my Grandma. He was the light of her world. Sharon Goad
