(HOLLEY) Margaret Mathes age 88 of E. Lee Rd. died peacefully at her home October 6, 2006. She was born August 30, 1918 in Albion a daughter of the late Louis & Hazel (Seivert) Basinait. She was a 50 year member of the Holley First Presbyterian Church. Margaret graduated from Albion High School and at age 65 received her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY at Brockport. She was instrumental in organizing the Orleans County Office of the Ageing. She was very active in 4H, Barre Grange and the Cornell Cooperative Extension. Margaret and her husband traveled extensively in the US and overseas to visit family and wrote a book for her family of her life in Albion & Clarendon. She had learned how to sail in Lake Ontario and was a member of the Oak Orchard Yacht Club & Power Squadron.
