Leona I. Raduns
of Medina passed away Sturday, May 28, 2011 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Medina, NY.
Mrs. Raduns was born in Volney, NY on December 9, 1920 daughter of the late Eli and Florence (Cole) Dubois.
She has lived in the Medina area most of her life and was employed at the Newell Shirt Factory in Medina for 35 years retiring in l990. She made shirts for celebrities icluding Bob Hope, Roy Rogers and Gene Autry.
She was a member of the Hartland Senior Citizens and she enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter H. Raduns in 2003 and by a son Jerry Raduns in 1975 and by her siblings Alice Stillinger, Ruth Bailey, Louis Dubois and Eli Dubois.
She is survived by her children James (Jeanne) Dubois of Fulton, NY. George Dubois of Texas, Thomas (Brenda) Dubois of Fulton, NY John (Lorelei) Raduns of Lyndonville and Gene (Lori) Raduns of Medina.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Ida Kane of Medina and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 12 Noon to 2 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport where funeral services will follow at 2PM.
Burial will be in Mt.Pleasant Cemetery.
