Holley: Emma J. Weader, 88, passed away August 10, 2019. She was born November 25, 1930 in the Town of Sweden. Emma retired from the Holley Central School District where she drove school bus and was a custodian. Emma loved Christmas, the New York Yankees, camping, traveling, sewing, flower gardening and volunteered at the Town of Sweden Senior Center. She was always busy caring for someone, but her greatest joy was her family.
She was predeceased by her son, Kenneth Owen in 1989. She is survived by her loving family, John (Beverly) Weader Jr., Tim Weader, Christine Allen; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Phillips; nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 Route 31, Holley, on Saturday August 17, from 3:00-5:00, where a Celebration of Emma’s Life will follow at 5:00pm. Memorials may be made to the Orleans County Animal Shelter, American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
