Duane, your sense of humor, balanced with realistic strategies to deal with complications, made it a pleasure to know you. No words can adequately express what an impact your life has made upon so many lives in this field of work. Thank you for your lifelong dedication. You created a concrete voice for the Developmental Disability world. For those who deserve a place to be seen and heard, pathways are forever changed for them and us. You are already so very missed by us. I hope you are having a great big party on the other side of this life. May your light live on in us.
Our deepest condolences at this terribly sad time. Duane will be greatly missed by our staff especially. He always advocated for us, and for our clients. Please accept our prayers for you and all your family.

Duane, your sense of humor, balanced with compassion and straightforward mannerisms made you a magnet for life. Professional, but never phony. Smart, dedicated, driven. An advocate beyond measure. Thank you for everything, Duane. No words can express how much you are missed.
Deepest condolences Jen. I am so sorry to hear of Duane’s passing. When I think of Duane I picture him with that huge, gorgeous smile and infectious laugh/ high pitched snicker. Will never forget that pyjama party, although there are some of those parties that are a bit blurry at best. He was truly a warm and wonderful and unique person. So many crazy and mostly hilarious memories floating through my head and heart today.
I'm sending condolences to Duane's family, co-workers and friends on his passing. I am saddened by this unexpected event. I had the pleasure of meeting Duane in 2015 when I joined CP. Every interaction/communication with Duane was a pleasant one. I still can't believe he is no longer with us. May his soul rest in peace and his memory live on forever. He will forever be remembered.
During the nearly 14 years I worked with Duane at Cerebral Palsy Associations of NYS, he was so supportive on the volunteer program of which I was the coordinator. His door was always open whenever ii had concerns. He listened when I wanted tp talk about my experience growing up with cerebral palsy. I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him. He continued to send me Christmas cards for 6 years after my program was eliminated due to budget cuts. I miss him.
